All IndustryThe last mile: getting information to a gloved hand in direct sunlightGloves, glare, dust, no signal and a dying battery sit between the published container and the workface. If identity and revision cannot be read on the device or the print in the hand, the issued set has not arrived.
Why site teams keep a second, unofficial set of recordsCabin folders, WhatsApp photographs and marked-up prints are not a discipline failure. They are what the workface builds when the official record cannot be trusted in time.
The site team has the truth. The office has the system. Neither talks. The industry bought a CDE and called it the record. Site still builds from the cabin set. Two artefacts, no shared identity — that is the field problem, not a culture problem.
